AN ALL-ROUND show by Vedanti Salodkar helped Team C drub Team F by 38 runs in VCA-organised Women’s Guzder League T20 Tournament at SB City College Ground on Thursday. Batting first, Team C scored 120/8 in 20 overs. Riddhima Maradwar made 34 while the duo of Tanvi Mendhe and Vedanti scored an identical 22. For Team F, Bhavna Choudhari (4/18) came up with good show rolling her arm. In reply, Team F were shot out for 82 in 18.4 overs with Player of the Match Vedanti (3/11) doing most of the damage. Only Shreya Lanjewar offered some resistance making 21.

 

Team D defeated Team G by 30 runs at WCL Ground. Making first use of turf, Team D made 133/7 in 20 overs. Player of the Match Akshara Itankar top-scored with 45 while Saniya Chaurasia made 31. Diya Mehta chipped in with three wickets for 20 runs for Team G. In reply, Team G were restricted to 103/6 in 20 overs Aayushi Thakre (34) and Madhura Mandavgade (33) were the major contributors while Team D’s Sanika Rokade snared two for 14. In another match played at Citi Gymkhana Ground, Team A beat Team H by 43 runs. Riddhi Naik (35) and Dharvi Tembhurne (30) got good starts as the team piled 141/8 in 20 overs. Nitya Bhati took 2 for 24). Team H had no momentum going and could muster 98/8 in 20 overs despite Akshaya Sudke’s (51) half century. Mansi Pande contributed 20. For the winners Player of the Match Aditi Palandurkar (3/22) and Anjali Ingole (2/8) shared five wickets between them.
