City trio in Mah jr basketball team

SARTHAK Dhulshule, Gunjan Mantri and Rajvi Maladhari of Nagpur have been selected to represent Maharashtra in the 74th Junior National Basketball Championship scheduled to be held at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, from May 8 to 14.
The seven-day U-18 national championship for boys and girls is organised by the Basketball Federation of India (BFI). All the three Nagpur players have been selected for the nationals from the selection trials organised by the BFI-appointed Committee of Maharashtra. The two-day trials were held at the Father Agnels Education Complex in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. From the selection trials the 12-member Maharashtra boys and girls team was selected.
 
After the trials, the trio of Nagpur players attended the preparatory camp in Mumbai and found their places in the State team. Both Sarthak and Gunjan practice at Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana (SNG) under Mahesh Gaharwar and Vinay Chikate. Rajvi is a member of Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM) and is trained by Dhiraj Kadao. All the three players were congratulated by President of Nagpur District Basketball Association (NDBA) Sandip Joshi, Secretary Bhavesh Kuchanwar and all members of the district body.
