Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav stated that the children and families of Madhya Pradesh are the victims; children from our State have died. The Madhya Pradesh Government will not hesitate to take strict action against any culprits in this sensitive case.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav stated that the responsible individuals from any culpable company involved in the use of banned cough syrup have been apprehended and arrested. The Madhya Pradesh police have arrested the culprits.
Unfortunately, the Tamil Nadu government is not providing the expected co-operation. The Tamil Nadu Drugs Controller should investigate the pharmaceutical company as required.
The Madhya Pradesh Government conducted the necessary investigations by taking random samples and has suspended the Chhindwara doctor and other culprits, and the Drugs Controller has been removed. Additionally, action has been taken against doctors who continue to prescribe the company’s banned medication to patients.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav stated that the Tamil Nadu government should take strict action in accordance with the rules.
Investigations so far have revealed a fundamental manufacturing error. This defective medication was administered to children, resulting in loss of life.
The Madhya Pradesh Government banned this cough syrup and arrested the pharmaceutical company owner. The Madhya Pradesh Government will continue to take strict action. No one found guilty will be spared, Dr Yadav reiterated.
