Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Ajay Pandey took swift and effective action in arresting the drug manufacturer Ranganathan. Parasia Bar Association President Shyam Kumar Sahu said that no local lawyer would represent such an accused in the court.

 

He further warned that they will strongly oppose any lawyer from outside to take up Ranganathan’s defense. Lawyers from Chhindwara or Parasia will not represent Ranganathan, the owner of Sresan Pharmaceutical Company, in the court. President of Parasia Bar Association Shyam Kumar Sahu, said, “No lawyer in the district will represent such an accused. If a lawyer from outside comes to represent him, the lawyers here will oppose that as well.

 

” The SIT team formed by Chhindwara Superintendent of Police, Ajay Pandey was headed by Jitendra Singh Jat and his team included TI, Jagotin Masram, Brajesh Raghuvanshi, Bhaday, Vikas Bais, and Aditya Raghuvanshi. Under the able leadership of SP, Ajay Pandey, SDOP, Jat’s team raided Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and successfully arrested Ranganathan. This arrest not only marked a major step towards providing justice to victims but also ensured that the main accused responsible for this fatal negligence did not escape the clutches of law.

 

Recognising sensitivity of the case, SDOP Jitendra Singh Jat expedited the investigation following deaths in Parasia. He not only gathered evidence locally but also played a key role in tracing the cough syrup’s supply chain and its manufacturer Ranganathan Govindan, owner of Tamil Nadu-based Sresan Pharma Company. Using intelligence and technical expertise, his team pinpointed the exact location of the absconding Ranganathan. SDOP Jat’s presence of mind, dedication and prompt action throughout this operation demonstrated the high standards of policing in the district.
