The Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, an exhibition-cum-sale of Indian handicrafts, is going on at Ram Nagar Ground in the city from October 4. The exhibition will remain open for the visitors till October 13. The Shilpikar Bahuudeshiya Kalyankari Mahila Sanstha, Nagpur, is organising the event.

 

The event brings together artisans from across India to showcase a variety of traditional and handmade products, including carpets and rugs, Terra-cotta and pottery hand-embroidered items, including handloom and khadi products, sarees and shirts, jewellery and accessories, crockery, bamboo and wooden article, etc.

 

In addition to this, the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar is also showcasing an extensive range of handicraft items, which are attracting a large number of people. As the festive season is round the corner, more and more people are visiting the exhibition and buying these items, says a press release issued here.

 

The visitors are also showing interest in the artisans’ work. Overall the Shilp Bazaar is serving as a vibrant platform for artisans from across the country to showcase their extraordinary skills and also an opportunity to expand their businesses.
