St Ursula girls and St Vincent Pallotti boys emerged champions of the Under-14 age category hockey tournament organised by District Sports Office at Vidarbha Hockey Association ground. In the girls’ final, St Ursula pipped St Vincent Pallotti by a solitary goal scored by Sushita in the 22nd minute. Sushita was the star performer for St Ursula as she scored goals in all the knock-out round matches they played.

 

On the way to title, St Ursula defeated Jingle Bells School 3-0 and Swaminarayan School 1-0. St Vincent Pallotti defeated St John’s High School 3-0 to enter final. In the boys’ summit clash, Pallotti edged past St John’s High School by a solitary goal in the penalty shoot-out. Farhan scored the only goal of the match. Earlier, St Vincent Pallotti School boys beat Swaminarayan 3-0 while St John’s beat Prahar Military School 4-0.
