The Bharat Golf Mahotsav was inaugurated in a great pomp and show for the first time in Sanskardhani Jabalpur, on Sunday. The event was graced with special presence of Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda while Lieutenant General Padam Singh Shekhawat, General Officer Commanding Madhya Bharat Area presided over the programme. Senior office-bearers of Golf Federation of India (GFI) were also present on the occasion. It may be noted that Madhya Bharat Area in association with Golf Federation of India and Jabalpur Municipal Corporation is hosting Grand Bharat Golf Mahotsav. GFI is conducting the event to mark the 75th birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promotion of Golf in developing districts throughout the country.

 

A large numbers of senior players and Golf enthusiasts are participating in the competition. The tournament is being organised under the supervision of GFI General Secretary Aryaveer Arya. Lt Gen PS Shekhawat, while interacting with media said that the event is aimed to explore potentials for promotion of Golf amongst the residents. Besides this, several events like run, golf training sessions for encouraging young talents, plantation drive and environmental awareness programme are also being organised.
