Highlighting the importance of ensuring sustainable livelihoods of farmers, Ravindra Boratkar, President of Agrovision Foundation while talking to The Hitavada said, “It is importance to enhance farmers knowledge to increase agricultural profitability. The foundation aims to achieve this by providing continuous information on modern agricultural techniques to help farmers enhance productivity, improve quality, adopt new technology, follow alternative crop patterns, and ultimately raise their income levels.”

“Through these activities, the Agrovision Foundation is committed to educating, empowering, and encouraging farmers to adopt technologies and practices that ensure sustainable livelihoods and transform the agricultural sector,” he said. Therefore, the Agrovision Foundation Training Centre is being built to provide training and disseminate information on latest farming practices to farmers throughout the year. The seven story training centre is located opposite Hotel Radisson Blu, Wardha Road. When completed the centre will offer various services at nominal fees to farmers. The centre will include 140 persons capacity audio, visual room, soil testing lab, cotton testing lab, organic certification service among other facilities.

The construction work of the centre has already begun and the centre will be ready by end of 2026. Boratkar further said, “Since Vidarbha is a dry region, farmers living here are facing many challenges. We want to change this perception and bring out the positive aspects of agriculture.” “With this in mind, Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways conceptualised the idea of organising Agrovision Agriculture Exhibition, providing farmers of Vidarbha exposure to the latest agricultural technologies, allied business opportunities, and innovative practices that can help increase their incomes,” he said.
