SB CITY College emerged champions of the silver jubilee inter-collegiate cricket tournament organised by Physical Education Department of Dhanwate National College under Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Sports Festival 2025.
In the final they defeated St Vincent Pallotti College by 10 wickets. Batting first, St Vincent Pallotti scored 87 run in 17.1 overs. Sidhant Deshpande (43) was the top scorer for Pallotti.
For SB City, Rakesh Yadav took four wickets for 20 runs. He was well supported by Kunal Nagar (3-12) and Harsh Malchewar (2-7).
In reply, SB City achieved the target in 7.2 overs. Himanshu Bante scored an unbeaten 50 while Vishesh Kantode remained not out on 35. For third place, Hislop College beat Ramdeobaba University by four wickets. The programme was compered by Dr Subhash Dadhe.
Umpires Naeem Shaikh and Salim Shaikh, along with scorer Ajay Nagotra, were the officials of the tournament.
Dr Vijay Datarkar, Principal, Jyotiba College of Physical Education, was the chief guest of the prize distribution.
Dr Devendra Wankhade, Dr Sanjay Chaudhary, Prashant Kantode, Dr Prashant Bambal, Dr RY Deshmukh, Nitin Chopde, Dr Ashlesha Ingole, Dr Amit Kanwar, Manish Deshmukh and Dr OS Deshmukh, Principal, Shivaji Science College, were also
present.
