With an aim to ensure transparency in procurement of paddy at Minimum Support Price (MSP), CCTV cameras will be installed at all procurement centres in the district. These cameras will be connected to the Smart City Command and Control Centre at Damohnaka for real-time monitoring of entire procurement process. Collector, Raghvendra Singh, during his inspection of procurement arrangements in Sihora and Majholi on Saturday, directed the officials to ensure proper systems for real-time monitoring through CCTV cameras.

He instructed that the cameras must be installed in such positions that every activity at the procurement centres is fully recorded. Collector, Singh also directed that access to online CCTV monitoring should be provided to the SDM of the respective area, enabling immediate action if any irregularities are detected. During the visit, Collector reviewed the proposed warehouse-level procurement centres.

He instructed officials to ensure all necessary facilities for farmers, maintain cleanliness of warehouses, level the premises and make proper arrangements for parking space for vehicles arriving with paddy. During physical verification, Collector found paddy stored in one of the warehouses before the start of procurement. He instructed officials to seal such warehouses . He added these warehouses may be opened only with permission from the SDM or Tehsildar and only after the warehouse operator presents sale documents showing to whom and where the paddy is being sold.
