CM Fadnavis
Staff Reporter :
“There are no differences, no rift between Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena (Shinde group). We have good understanding on every issue. Whatever is being spread regarding our relationship is all rumours. I met Eknath Shinde at the Hutatma Smarak programme. We spoke on several issues, we exchanged the details of our programmes and then we left. This is a routine process,” said Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while interacting with media at Reshimbag after the inauguration of Nagpur Book Festival on Sunday.
It is being said that Eknath Shinde is allegedly upset that he is being sidelined and Ajit Pawar, who is under fire for his ‘no votes-no funds’ remark.
This is for the first time Fadnavis spoke about the two issues after the passage of nearly one year of his Government--one is regarding Ajit Pawar, leader of Nationalist Congress Party (AP) for his remarks during election campaign and other is relationship of BJP with Shinde.
Shinde went to Delhi and had 2-3 meetings with Union Home Minister Amit Shah after some Sena ministers did not attend Cabinet meeting protesting the poaching of leaders.
Ajit Pawar didn’t mean it
“What Ajit Pawar said regarding promising people during the election campaign meeting, he did not mean it. On several occasions a lot of things are said, but no leader says it with any intention. People will elect Mahayuti in the coming elections, despite of the fact that we are
contesting separately,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
“The Centre and the State have floated several welfare schemes for the public. The Prime Minister, Chief Minister and both Deputy Chief Ministers are working on schemes.
We want development, and we want to solve the issues in that region,” pointed out Fadnavis.
Nagpur Book Festival to be an annual event
Nagpur Book Festival will become an annual event as the habit of reading books is decreasing. Such events will make people inculcate the habit of reading books. Book reading not only gives pleasure, but imparts knowledge. It will help to develop one’s personality, expressed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
