Would You?

Would You

Would you still hold my hand even if
It is trembling with fear?
Would you trace the cracks like
constellations and say,
“I'm still here”?
Would you call my name in the silence
When the world forgets my sound?
Would you gather the pieces I scatter
And build me back from the ground?
Would you still laugh at my stories,
Even when I forget the end?
Would you still look at me softly,
Like I am more than just a friend?
Would you wait when seasons betray me,
And my light begins to fade?
Would you choose the storm with me,
Over sunshine someone else made?
Would you love me, always
In life’s every phase?
So tell me softly, just once,
Would you?
