CHIEF Minister Dr Mohan
Yadav, and his family, has set an
example of social harmony, simplicity and inclusiveness by performing the wedding of his
younger son at a mass marriage
ceremony in Ujjain. Yoga guru
Swami Ramdev officiated the
union of 21 couples, calling it a
divine marriage and praising
the CM for leading by example.
Dr Abhimanyu Yadav, the
Chief Minister’s son, married Dr
Ishita at the ceremony, sharing
the same mandap with couples
from different social and economic backgrounds.
Governor
Mangubhai Patel congratulated
the newlyweds, describing the
event as a supreme example of
social equality.
Dr Yadav welcomed the guests
and highlighted that the mass
wedding reflected Sanatan traditions while promoting inclusivity. Couples from Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes
also participated, reinforcing
the spirit of unity and social
integration.
Pandit Dhirendra Shastri
lauded the low-cost, inclusive
nature of the ceremony, noting
it as a modern example of the
teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
In a generous gesture, Akhil
Bharatiya Akhara Parishad,
Mansa Devi Trust, Haridwar, and
Junna Akhara announced Rs 1
lakh for each newlywed couple.
All couples, including the
CM’s son and daughter-in-law,
received blessings from spiritual leaders.
Several dignitaries attended
the event, including Karnataka
Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot,
Union Minister Jyotiraditya
Scindia, Minister of State for
Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uike,
Assembly Speaker Narendra
Singh Tomar, other ministers,
MLAs, and local representatives. They extended their
blessings and best wishes for
the couples’ married life.
