Indigo Airlines has restored normal, on-schedule operations at Swami Vivekananda Airport (SVA) here in Raipur after resolving all technical and operational issues. With all flights now running as per roster, only a limited number of services were cancelled in a pre-planned manner, and all affected passengers were informed through SMS and email, followed by full refunds.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) moved swiftly through the period of disruption to ensure that passenger comfort was not compromised even for a moment.
In a detailed briefing, Airport Director (APD) K K Lahre said the airport had placed passenger convenience at the centre of all decisions. He stated that additional assistance counters were created across the terminal to guide travellers, and continuous coordination was maintained with Indigo to provide real-time updates.
Waiting areas were strengthened with adequate seating and drinking-water facilities,
while the public-address system was used frequently to relay accurate information to passengers inside the terminal. Lahre further said that senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and families travelling with small children were offered dedicated support. This included wheelchair assistance, priority facilitation and on-ground escorts.
“We personally interacted with passengers today to understand their concerns, assist them on the spot and take direct feedback. Most travellers expressed satisfaction with our arrangements, and several of those responses have been uploaded on our official social-media platforms,” he said. Lahre added that complimentary water bottles were distributed to passengers, while children received chocolates.
Officers from the Central Industrial Security Force, Indigo station management and the entire AAI workforce joined the monitoring exercise to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the day. The Airport Director urged all passengers to rely only on official airline websites, mobile applications or terminal-management counters for verified flight information.
