A MAN committed a shameful act against his own wife when he made an obscene video of her in the bedroom and made it viral, under the jurisdiction of Samaan police station area. The wife alleges that her husband committed this act due to dowry demands. The victim, who reached the Samaan police station, stat ed that her husband was physically and mentally harassing her for dowry.

 

When things didn’t work out, he took her into confi dence and made intimate videos of her with him, and later made those videos viral on Facebook and Instagram. The victim went to the Samaan police station with a complaint, where the police have registered a case and begun an investigation. According to the vic tim, Rekha Sahu, her in laws were pressuring her for dowry even before her marriage.

 

Despite her family’s inability to pay, the mar riage was solemnised, and Rekha was sent to her in laws’ house. After arriving at her in-laws’ house, her hus band, Shivam Sahu, a truck driver, continued to physi cally and mentally harass her for dowry. Rekha alleges that when the accused failed to pressure her family, he threatened to leave. One day, he made physical relation with her, and filmed those private moments. After some time, the accused once again demanded dowry, and when his demand was not met, he made the objectionable video viral on social media.
