A WEEK ago, a theft
occurred under the jurisdic
tion of Bichhia police station area. A woman, return
ing home from a wedding at
midnight, reported the theft
of gold and silver jewellery
and cash. Police registered a
case and began investigat
ing the incident, after which
the woman’s nephew turned
out to be the mastermind. Police has recovered the
stolen jewellery and cash.

registered the complaint
and with the help of a foren
sic team, collected evidence
from the scene. After exam
ining CCTV footage, the sus
pect, Aftab Khan, was
detained and interrogated. On November 29, the victim Nazmeen Begum, wife
of Abedin Khan (40), a resident of Takiya Darashah,
had lodged a complaint that
on the night of November 28
at around 10 pm, all the
members of her family had
gone to Dulhan Garden
Nipaniya Mod for a wedding
ceremony.
When she
returned home with her
husband at around 12.10
pm, she saw that the lock of
the outer door of the house
was broken. When she went
inside, she saw that all the
things inside the house were
scattered. The locker of the
cupboard was open. When
she checked the things, she
found that 03 silver anklets,
gold nose ring, gold mangal
sutra, gold bracelet, two
rings, elder daughter Saiba
Khan’s ATM, passbook, cash
were missing.
Police registered a case and arrested the
suspect, Aftab Khan alias
Raj, son of Rajji Imamuddin
Khan, 20 years old, resident
of Bichhiya Takiya. A gold
ring, a gold nose ring, a
mangalsutra, and three
pairs of silver anklets were
recovered from his possession. The arrested accused
was produced in Court by
the police, from where he
was sent to jail.
