A SLEEPER bus overturned near
Tedni in the Harrai police station
area of Chhindwara district
around 3 am on the intervening
night of Monday-Tuesday. The
bus was travelling from Tikamgarh
to Nagpur. Six passengers were
injured in the accident, two of
whom are reported to be in serious condition. The seriously
injured passengers were referred
to the Narsinghpur District
Hospital after receiving first aid.
Upon receiving information,
Harrai police and highway patrol
team reached the spot. With the
help of locals, police rescued the
injured passengers from the bus
and immediately took them to
hospital. The rescue operation
faced some difficulties due to the
nighttime conditions, but police
acted promptly and brought the
situation under control.
The injured passengers are
includes Shabbir Shah (40), a res
ident of Sagar, Sohil Shah (19), a
resident of Sagar, Naveen Shah
(35), resident of Sagar, Latif Shah
(60), resident of Sagar, Guddi Rai
(46), resident of Lalitpur, Ramal
Kumar Patwa (50), a resident of
Harrai. Preliminary investigations stated that the bus losing
control was the cause of the accident. The police are currently
conducting a detailed investigation to determine the exact reasons for the accident.
