Vidarbha eye outright victory over J&K

IKNOOR Singh showed his batting prowess as Vidarbha closed in on an outright victory over J&K in their U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy match at the VCA’s Kalamna ground on Wednesday. Chasing 211 runs for victory, Vidarbha were 148-5 in their second innings at stumps on Day 3 of their four-day match. Iknoor was unbeaten on 41 while Anand Tale was not out on 29. The duo has so far added 66 runs for the sixth wicket.
 
Vidarbha need 63 runs on the last day with five wickets standing. Earlier, Yash Titre claimed five wickets for 87 and Himanshu Kawale took 4-58 to bundle out J&K for 229 in their second innings. Brief scores: J&K 1st innings: 232. Vidarbha 1st innings: 251. J&K 2nd innings: 229 all out in 63.3 overs (Kamaksh Sharma 41, Faizan Ahmad 51; Yash Titre 5-87, Himanshu Kawale 4-58). Vidarbha 2nd innings: 148-5 in 53 overs (Gaurab Nikam 23, Iknoor Singh 41 batting, Anand Tale 29 batting). Vidarbha need 63 runs to win.
