ELECTION Commission of
India (ECI) has revised the
schedule for the ongoing
Special Intensive Revision
(SIR) of Electoral Rolls in
Chhattisgarh. The last date
for submission of the enu
meration forms is
December 18.
The ECI has extended the
schedule for the ongoing
SIR for one week.
Rationalisation/Rearrang
ement of polling stations
will be completed by
December 18. Updation of
control table and preparation of draft list will be held
from December 19 to 22.
The publication of draft
electoral rolls will be held
on December 23.
Objections and claims will be received from December 23
to January 22, 2026. Objections and claims will be addressed
from December 23, 2025 and February 14, 2026. Checking
the health parameters of electoral rolls will be completed
by February 17, 2026. Final publication of electoral rolls
will be held on February 21, 2026.
Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh Yashwant Kumar
has appealed to all the recognized political parties of the
state to ensure participation in the polling booth wise meet
ings with BLOs through their respective booth level agents.
He said that after a detailed review of the list, ensure that
any kind of error, incompleteness or wrong entry in the list
of permanently transferred, dead, duplicate voters is made
available to the BLO by December 18 so that the
electoral rolls can be made as pure, updated and error-free
as possible.
