A shocking case of alleged assault and rape of an 18-year-old engineering student has surfaced in Radhapuram Colony, Kolar, of the city. A police case has been registered against the main accused, an Ola rider, and his two female friends in connection with the incident. The victim, a student at a private engineering college, informed the police that the accused Ola rid isolated house in Radhapuram under the pretext of a party.

 

The complainant alleged that once there, the accused Tarun Lokhande assaulted her and, by threatening and intimidating her, committed rape. It is further alleged that the two female accomplices aided the main accused during the commission of the crime. Threatened with Video Leak: The accused reportedly made obscene videos and photos of the student during the incident and threatened to make them viral if she disclosed the incident to anyone. The incident took place on November 22. Fearing social stigma, the student initially did not report the matter but later travelled to Betul, where she filed a Zero FIR at the local police station. Following the transfer of the case diary by Betul Police to Kolar Police, the Kolar station has registered the primary case.
