Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Friday released a book detailing the achievements of his two-year tenure, providing information on the development work accomplished in the State and the roadmap prepared for the coming years. The CM stated that these two years have been dedicated to Madhya Pradesh’s development and service, with every citizen being a witness to the progress. Reviewing the work of the past year, the Government has set the development trajectory for the next three years. The Chief Minister affirmed the Government’s commitment to fulfilling every promise.
 
The CM highlighted that the State has made remarkable progress on every front. He emphasised that global circumstances have positioned India in a leading role, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, every challenge has been converted into an opportunity. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the State has achieved remarkable success. “The surrender of 42 Naxals in 42 days is a major achievement in this direction. The districts of Dindori, Mandla, and Balaghat have been freed from the ‘Red Salute’ (Naxal influence).” Water & Irrigation: Focus on Mega Projects: The CM outlined the Government’s work on water resources and irrigation expansion, mentioning the Ken-Betwa Link Project, the tripartite agreement for the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project, and the signing of an MoU with Maharashtra for the Tapi Basin Mega Recharge Project.
 
He highlighted the significant benefits of the Narmada-Kshipra Multipurpose Micro Irrigation Project. Built at a cost of Rs 2,498 crore, this project will provide irrigation facilities to over 30,000 hectares of land across 100 villages. A Rs 800 crore project has also been prepared to revitalise the Kshipra River, whose waters will be used by devotees during the Simhastha (Kumbh Mela). Energy & Industry: Clean Power and Textile Hubs: Discussing energy and industrial development, the CM stated that the nation’s first Solar Plus Storage Project has been established in Morena, providing power at the cheapest rate of Rs 2.70 per unit. He claimed the state is offering the most affordable electricity.
 
A 2000 MW of additional solar parks are being developed in the State. The PM MITRA Mega Textile Park is expected to create over three lakh jobs and directly benefit six lakh cotton producers. The CM noted that cotton, yarn, and cloth production will now all take place within the State. The first GIS (Global Investors Summit) was held in Bhopal, alongside the organisation of the Regional Industry Conclave. Health and Metropolitan Area Development:
 
The health sector is rapidly advancing. Over the two years, six new government medical colleges have opened, increasing the total number of Government medical colleges to 19, while private colleges now stand at 14. In the industry and investment sector, 18 new policies have been approved. Relief was provided to 4,800 worker families of the Hukumchand Mill in Indore with a payment of Rs 214 crore, resolving a long-standing dispute. Justice was also secured for Bhopal Gas Tragedy victims by ensuring the disposal of toxic waste. Plans are underway to develop Indore-Ujjain and Bhopal-Narmadapuram into Metropolitan Areas, with industrial centres forming the backbone of this development.
 
Over 11,000 km of development is planned across both Metropolitan Areas. IT, E-Buses, and Welfare: Gau Samrakshan (Cow Protection): A new scheme has been launched with a target to increase milk production by 20%. Grants of up to Rs 10 lakh are being given to cattle rearers, and grants are also available for opening large cow shelters, along with 125 acres of land. Waste-to-Value: The state is generating energy from waste and stubble, with several notable companies showing interest.
 
IT Development: IT parks are being established inside engineering colleges, and plans are in place to create IT Cities and AI Cities. Transport: E-buses will soon be introduced in the State. Economy and Welfare: The budget is targeted to double in five years. Per capita income has increased to Rs 1,54,000. Wheat was procured at Rs 2,600 per quintal, and the Bhavantar Yojana was launched for soybean procurement. The monthly amount given to beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana has been increased from Rs 1,250 to Rs 1,500.
 
Agriculture: Aiming for 100 Lakh Hectares of Irrigation: Highlighting the agriculture sector as a priority for the coming year, the CM announced 2026 has been declared the Agriculture Year. The irrigation area has already been increased from 42 lakh hectares to 54 lakh hectares, with a target of 100 lakh hectares. The government is working on promoting natural farming, establishing crop processing industries, and ensuring fair prices for farmers. The target for increasing milk production has been set at 20% (up from 9%).
