The Union Government has approved the installation of 513 new 4G mobile towers in Chhattisgarh through BSNL under the Digital Bharat Nidhi. Welcoming the decision, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai described it as a significant outcome of coordinated efforts to restore peace, security and development in Naxal-affected and remote regions. Chief Minister stated that the approval forms a strong link in the ongoing campaign against Left-wing extremism. With sustained action by security forces and close administrative coordination bringing stability to several areas, the focus is now shifting towards expanding development and digital connectivity.

He added that the installation of these 4G towers will ensure accessible and reliable mobile and internet services for people living in remote and difficult terrain for the first time. Improved connectivity will strengthen access to education, healthcare, employment opportunities, administrative services and emergency communication. Chief Minister further stated that the expansion of digital connectivity will prove to be a milestone for financial inclusion. Stronger mobile networks will enable easier access to banking services, direct benefit transfers, UPI transactions,

insurance, pensions and other digital services for citizens in remote areas. He said that the initiative is aligned with the core objective of Digital India, which is focused on delivering development to the last mile. Enhanced connectivity will open new digital opportunities for local youth and give momentum to regional economic activity.

Chief Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Centre is prioritising development alongside security in Naxal-affected states. The Chhattisgarh government, he added, is working in close coordination with the Centre to ensure that every citizen of the state is connected to the mainstream of development. On behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh, CM Sai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, calling the decision a historic step towards making Chhattisgarh digitally empowered, secure and inclusive.
