On Saturday, marking the successful completion of two years of his Government’s development and service, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for the grand ‘Samrat Vikramaditya Welcome Gate’ on the Bhopal-Indore road (Huzur Assembly Constituency, Fanda). During the same event, the foundation stone was also laid for a state-of-the-art e-Bus depot under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme. The Chief Minister declared that the Bhopal region will be developed as a prime example of both heritage and development. He announced that a total of nine grand welcome gates are being constructed in Bhopal, named after figures like the Parmar dynasty’s Raja Bhoj, Samrat Vikramaditya, Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.
 
As part of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan (Water Ganga Promotion Campaign), the Upper Lake (Bada Talab) will be deepened by removing its silt, which will address issues of irrigation and water-logging. Responding to regional demand, the CM announced a grant of Rs 5 crore for a school building in Gram Tumra and the construction of a college building in Gram Fanda. Necessary action will be taken regarding the proposal to rename Gram Fanda to ‘Harihar Nagar.’ CM Yadav referenced the principles of good governance, justice, and charity of Samrat Vikramaditya, stating that the state government is following these noble ideals.
 
Chief Minister Yadav appealed to the State people to stop extravagant spending on functions like weddings and customs such as Mrityubhoj (feasts following death). He stressed that saving money to invest in the education of their children is more important. He cited his son’s recent wedding, which was held as part of a mass marriage ceremony, and urged efforts towards promoting social harmony. Chaitanya Kashyap (Minister for MSME and Bhopal District In-charge) stated that new dimensions of development are being established under
 
CM Yadav’s leadership. He noted that the monthly amount under the Ladli Bahna Yojana has been raised to Rs 1,500 and will increase further. Informed that Bhopal has received 100 electric buses with support from the central and State Governments, for which a charging station is being built at a cost of Rs 16 crore. She highlighted the hosting of the GIS event in Bhopal and the decision to remove the BRTS corridor as significant steps towards development. MLA Rameshwar Sharma supported the proposal to rename Gram Fanda to Harihar Nagar.
