THE leaders of Maha Vikas
Aghadi(MVA),on Sunday,claimed that the seven-day winter session in Nagpur was just an “election jumla” by the State Government.The Government ignored
the issues of Vidarbha region in
this session.
While addressing a press conference in Shiv Sena(UBT)office
in Vidhan Bhavan premises on
Sunday,Congress leader Vijay
Wadettiwar blamed that this
Winter Session was Mumbai centric and majority bills and decisions were taken keeping the
upcoming municipal corporation elections in mind.
“The issues discussed in these
seven days were more about
Mumbai than Vidarbha. State
Government wants to lure the
voters to win the upcoming civic
elections in the State,” said
Wadettiwar.“Nothing concrete
output came upduring the session, which concluded on
Sunday,” he added.
“This Winter Session was held
to distribute funds to citizens
and to get their votes in the
upcoming Municipal Corporation elections. Tabling supplementary demands in both
houses was the on ly option they
had to distribute funds before
elections,” claimed Bhaskar
Jadhav,MLA from Shiv Sena
(UBT) during the press confer
ence.“For this,the State Government tabled Rs 75,286crore
supplementary demands in both
houses in this winter session and
approved it within just two days.
There after,the behaviour of the
government changed and they
just wasted time in the remaining session,”claimed Jadhav.
“Opposition was aware of all
these political stunts of the
Mahayuti Government, there
fore we boy cotted the tea party
of the government before the
commencement of the Winter
Session,”said Jadhav.Jayantrao
Patil,Senior leader and MLA from
Nationalist Congress Party(SP)
said, “Vidarbha issues should
have been the centre stage but
the State Government gave no space to Vidarbha in these sev
en-day sessions which is very
unfortunate“In last three years,
190 agreements were made
between various companies and
Maharashtra Industries
Development
Corporation
(MIDC)but the State has no data
on how many jobs it has created after the agreements.
Even majority of these agreements
area land acquisition level in the
last three years,”claimed Jayant
Patil.“It shows that the government has failed to convert the
agreements in to job creation in
Vidarbha.It is the biggest gap in
the policies of the state government which should be addressed
as soon as possible,”explained
Patil.The NCP(SP) leader also
raised the issue of increasing drug
manufacturing and consumption in Maharashtra during the
press conference.He said that the
government has failed to curb the
drug menace in the state.Sunil
