The flight schedule at Raja Bhoj International Airport (Bhopal Airport) was severely disrupted on Monday due to dense fog and extremely low visibility in the National Capital, Delhi. According to updates issued by airport authorities, two major Indigo flights connecting Delhi were cancelled by 12 noon on Monday, while several other services faced significant delays.

 

Two cancellations, four delays: Indigo Airlines was the worst affected on Monday, with two critical flights being cancelled: 6E 6364 (Delhi-Bhopal route) and 6E 6365 (Bhopal-Delhi route). In addition, several other flights were delayed by hours. The delayed arrivals included 6E6602 and AI1705 (both arriving from Delhi), which consequently led to the late departure of their onward legs, 6E6603 and AI1886, from Bhopal.

 

Operations maintained despite low visibility: Despite the weather challenges, flight operations continued at Bhopal Airport. Officials reported that security procedures related to low visibility were enforced at the airport between 6:40 am and 8:36 am on Monday morning. During this challenging period, the airport successfully managed the arrival and departure of three flights. Passenger Safety is Top Priority: Airport Director Commenting on the situation, Raja Bhoj Airport Director Ramjee Awasthi said, “Due to the severe dense fog situation in Delhi, two Indigo flights (Delhi-Bhopal-Delhi) had to be cancelled.
