49 books published in local languages as part of NEP-2020implementation in schools

AS RECOMMENDEDby NEP
2020, textbooks are being pub
lished in local languages to
ensure accessibility for stu
dents. In Madhya Pradesh, a
total of 49 books have been
translated into 12 languages
of the state, including Hindi, regional, and
tribal languages, and have
been made available in schools
across 89 tribal development
blocks.
The School Education
Department is implementing
the National Education Policy
(NEP) 2020 as per the sched
uled program. A NEP Task
Force has been constituted
under the chairmanship of
School Education Minister
Uday Pratap Singh.
The development of the State
Curriculum Framework Foundation Stage (SCF-FS) and
State Curriculum Framework– School Education (SCF-SE)
has been completed.
In addition, the state has
developed practice workbooks
and teacher guides for basic lit
eracy and numeracy, and
teachers have been trained
accordingly. Based on these
resources, learning kits and
floor games have also been pre
pared for students. The state
is updating the NEP tracker as
per the guidelines issued by
the central government.
Senior committees have also
been formed at the level of
Commissioner and Director,
with representatives from var
ious NEP-related groups and
areas, to ensure systematic
implementation of the policy
across schools in the State.
