AN IMPORTANTmeeting of the Congress corporators was held at Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) headquar ters to discuss agenda of the ensuing general house meeting of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation and to finalise strat egy for the session. The house meeting is scheduled for December 18. Leader of Opposition Amrish Mishra and other Congress Corporators discussed key agen da points and also raised issues related to their respective wards. The main issues discussed included door-to-door garbage collection, cleanliness in wards, poor condition of roads, drink ing water problems and disposal of pending lease relat ed cases. Corporators also shared local concerns and agreed to raise them collectively in the JMC House.

 

The Leader of Opposition informed that the Congress Corporators will stage a protest against the BJP-led ruling party in the JMC over the demand for widening of the Gohalpur Pulia (culvert). The protest will be held on December 17 near the Gohalpur culvert. They said the demand has been pending for a long time and the protest would be organised to draw the atten tion of the authorities to the pub lic issue. They said widening of the culvert necessary, as it becomes the major cause of traffic congestion. Those present at the meeting included Amrish Mishra, Shagufta Usmani Guddu Nabi, Ayodhya Tiwari, Santosh Dubey Panda and others.
