intricacies of mushroom farm
ing on the third day of national
workshop.
It may be mentioned that a
five-day national workshop on
“The Art of Mushroom
Entrepreneurship: Strategies for
Success” is being organized from
December 15, 2025, under the
joint auspices of the Department
of Botany, Microbiology and
Agriculture, Government M.H.
Home Science and Science
Women’s College and Women’s
Studies Centre, Rani Durgavati
University.
Dr. Jaya Singh is the subject
expert in the programme being
conducted under the direction
of college Principal, Dr. Sameer
Shukla and HoD, Botany
Department, Dr. Anuradha Dave
to motivate students towards
self-employment and develop
their skills.
During first session of the third
day, the main speaker, Dr. Rupesh
Kumar Chaubey, Founder and
Director of Gokul Gramodyog
and M.G. Mushroom
Chhattisgarh, delivered a lecture
via Google Meet, sharing about
producing various mushroom
products using agro-waste.
Updating students about new
startup opportunities, he
explained about mushroom cul
tivation, mushroom powder,
mushroom chips and various
other products. During techni
cal session, Dr. Jaya Singh provided training on mushroom cul
tivation and introduced students
about intricacies of mushroom
farming. Approximately 250 stu
dents and 30 faculty members
from various colleges partici
pated in the program which was
conducted by Deepa Bansal.
