RDUExecutive Council decides toapprove appointments to academic,non-academic positions at university

MANY important constructive
decisions were taken during the
meeting of Executive Council,
Rani Durgavati University (RDU)
called at Ekatma Bhavan on
Thursday. The meeting was
chaired by Vice-Chancellor
Professor Rajesh Kumar Verma.
The Executive Council unanimously decided to approve
appointments to academic and
non-academic positions at the
university. Under the research
incentive scheme for outstanding research work, it was decid
ed to award each visiting scholar a sum of Rs 5,000 annually for
each academic session.
The members decided to constitute a ‘Fact-Finding
Committee’ for matters concerning technical staff.
Approval
was granted for providing ground
and other facilities for the NCC.
Furthermore, taking cognizance of disciplinary action
against employee, Sanjay Yadav
and action to be taken against
Rajendra Shukla as per the letter received from the Raj Bhavan,
the Registrar was instructed to
initiate disciplinary proceedings
promptly. The recommendations
received from the committee
constituted for beautification of
the university were approved.
Condition of the buildings and
auditoriums in the university is
not satisfactory.
Therefore, approval was grant
ed for renovation of Pt Kunjilal Dubey auditorium, MBA Hall,
Law Department Seminar Hall,
both the guest houses, research
hostel, council hall and a hall
at Rajshekhar Bhavan.
Considering students’ convenience, proposal for pro
viding online degrees was
approved and it was also decid
ed to issue a tender for sale of
scrap materials. The meeting
was attended by Registrar Dr
R K Baghel, Executive Council
members Professor Vivek
Mishra, Professor Ashish
Sharma, Dr Veena Bajpai, Dr
Nandini Bharil, Ved Prakash
Tiwari and others.
