CM emphasises on crucial roleof sports in nation-building

ADDRESSING the 7th National Ranking Pickleball Tournament–2025 in Indore, the Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said sports provide direction to life and contribute significantly to the overall development of individuals on Sunday. CM said that sports have always been an integral part of Indian culture and play a vital role in shaping personality and character. Dr Yadav said sports have been included as an important part of the school education curriculum, which is reflected in strong performance of players from Madhya Pradesh and India in almost every sport. CM Dr Yadav urged athletes to remain dedicated and give their best in whichever sport they choose, adding that consistent effort and discipline are the keys to excellence.
 
Notably, Dr Yadav is also the patron of the Madhya Pradesh State Olympic Association. Referring to India’s rich heritage, the Chief Minister said sports have been deeply rooted in the country’s culture since the Vedic period. He said Indian athletes have often gone beyond their times to earn global recognition. Emphasising the role of sports in the rebuilding of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Yadav said players are helping create a positive environment for future generations, while also driving growth of sports infrastructure across the State. Dr Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is emerging as one of the fastest growing states in terms of industrial development.
 
Rapid progress is being seen in industries, micro, small and medium enterprises, cottage and village industries, as well as agriculture and allied sectors. He expressed confidence that Madhya Pradesh will make a major contribution to India’s goal of becoming the world’s third-largest economy. Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, along with MLAs Ramesh Mendola, Balwant, Ganesh Agrawal, Gopal Agrawal and Sunil, other pub lic representatives and a large number of players were present at the event. Outstanding athletes from various sports were also honoured on the occasion.
