UNDER the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, the draft voters list was published on Tuesday at District Election Office and across all polling stations in the district. With the publication of the draft roll, the process of receiving claims and objections has also commenced. Political party representatives were briefed in detail about the procedures for submitting claims and objections, their hearings, and disposal.

Collector informed that the objective of publishing the draft roll is to pro vide voters an opportunity to verify their names and details, and to apply for inclusion or correction within the stipulated period if required. Political par ties were urged to widely publicise the claims-objections process. Copies of the draft electoral roll were distributed to party representatives. Thereafter, while interacting with media, Collector Raghvendra Singh informed that voters can inspect the draft roll at their polling station, the Collector’s office, or the office of the Electoral Registration Officer of the concerned Assembly constituency.

The list is also avail able on the Chief Electoral Of f i ce r , Madhya Pradesh web site and Elect ion Commission of India portal (voters.eci.gov.in).
