SANSKARDHANI is set to host
the 4th World Ramayana
Conference from January 2 to 4,
2026 at Manas Bhavan. The
three-day international event
will be jointly organised by the
Brahmarshi Mission
Committee, Ram Awareness
Movement and Madhya Pradesh
government’s Shri Ramchandra
Path Gaman Nyas, Bhopal.
Addressing a press conference, organising committee
members said the World
Ramayana Conference is held
once every three years and has
earlier editions in 2016, 2020
and 2023.
Conference President
Ajay Vishnoi informed that
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister
Dr Mohan Yadav and Union
Minister Gajendra Singh
Shekhawat will be present at the
inaugural session on January 2.
Conference Secretary Dr
Akhilesh Gumashta said eminent Ramayana scholars from
across the world will present
research papers and deliver lectures during the event.
Delegations of ten scholars each
from Mauritius and Thailand
are participating, while experts
from Sri Lanka, France, the
United States, Canada, China,
Russia, Vietnam, Indonesia,
Malta, England and Switzerland
have also confirmed their presence.
Padma Bhushan Debi
Prasad Fraley, Shyam Bhavi,
Somwat, Director of the Sanskrit
Study Centre, Bangkok, Padma
Shri Prof Prapanna Vidya, Veenu
Arun from Ramayana Centre
Mauritius and Prof Dharmayasa
from Indonesia will be among
the major attractions of the conference. Sadhvi Gyaneshwari
Didi and Prashant Pol informed
that a Ramayana-based exhibition will be inaugurated on
December 28 in collaboration
with the Indira Gandhi National
Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).
The
exhibition will be inaugurated
by Maharashtra Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis and will feature Ramayana paintings, a photo gallery and a special display
of sites linked to the Ram Van
Gaman Path in Madhya Pradesh.
The theme of this edition is
“Making Youth Ramayana
Ambassador (MYRA)”.
At the inaugural session on
January 2, Ramayana-based
publications of the Madhya
Pradesh government will be
released and the work and future
roadmap of Shri Ramchandra
Path Gaman Nyas in the field of
cultural conservation will be
presented. The inaugural session
will be presided over by PWD
Minister Rakesh Singh with MP
Sumitra Balmiki as the special
guest.

Annu also expressed views on
the occasion.
During the first two days, the
conference will receive the spiritual guidance of Swami
Rambhadracharya of Tulsi
Peeth, Chitrakoot, Baba
Kalyandas of Amarkantak and
Mahant Ram Roshan Das of
Janakpuri, Nepal. The concluding session will be graced by
Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed
Khan. Renowned cultural
troupes and artists from across
the country will also perform
during the conference.
