State is going to open doors of the mysterious world of science and space to aspirants of astrophysics as an space centre will be set up here. With this advance set up of realistic imitation of the controls and operation of space craft, the youth of Madhya Pradesh will have better understanding about space technology and scientific thinking. Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Krishna Gaur announced at a press conference on Friday that a proposal for the establishment of the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Simulatory Space Centre in Bhopal under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram
 
(PMJVK) is being sent to the Government of India. Dr Mohan Yadav Government has completed two years in office and all its ministers are on spree to highlights achievements and innovations taken place to their respective departments and upcoming projects as well. In this series, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department Minister informed that this proposal has been prepared in co-ordination with the Department of Science and Technology. Minister of State Gaur said that the proposed space centre will showcase the designs of the progressive development of missiles and satellites. Special infrastructure will also be developed to provide a simulated experience of a space station in a zero-gravity environment, similar to space, so that children can see and feel how astronauts live and work inside a satellite.
 
Talking about the ‘Shaurya Sankalp Training Scheme- 2025’ for the youth of the most backward classes. She said that under this scheme, approximately 4,000 young people will be provided residential training every year to prepare them for recruitment into the army, paramilitary forces, police, home guards, and private security agencies. Along with physical training, theoretical guidance will be provided to instill discipline, patriotism, and a sense of duty in the youth. The Minister of State said that OBC hostels across the State are being developed as model hostels. Approximately Rs 16 crore is being spent on upgrading these hostels, which are equipped with gyms, reading rooms, libraries, Wi-Fi, computer labs, and sports facilities.
 
She informed that for the first time since the department’s inception, free and quality meals are being provided in the hostels, and this initiative is likely to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister on January 26. Minister of State Gaur stated that scholarships have been distributed to more than 7.5 lakh students under the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme.
 
The Overseas Study Scholarship Scheme has been made more transparent, benefiting 50 students every year. Initiatives are also being taken to provide employment to unemployed youth in Japan and Germany. Under the Social Impact Bond, 600 young people will be sent to abroad .She further informed that a special campaign is being conducted through the Jan Abhiyan Parishad for the nomadic, and semi-nomadic communities. Their enumeration will be completed within three months, ensuring that the benefits of the schemes reach the target groups effectively. She stated that Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in undertaking such initiatives.
