In a landmark development that reshapes the Indian FM radio landscape, city-based Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures Private Limited’s (ARIPL) radio division, Radio Orange, has acquired Mirchi Love FM stations from Entertainment Network (India) Limited (ENIL) and Ishq FM stations from TV Today Network, significantly expanding its presence across major metro hubs and high-growth regional markets.
This acquisition strengthens Radio Orange’s position as an emerging national radio network, bringing together legacy frequencies, established brand value and experienced talent pools from two of India’s most trusted broadcasters. The consolidation marks the beginning of a new era for the company, opening doors to deeper market penetration, broader audience engagement and a richer content offerings portfolio.
Adani Power Ltd. (APL), India’s largest private thermal power producer, successfully completed the acquisition and resolution plan implementation of Butibori-based Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd (VIPL) for an aggregate consideration of Rs 4,000 crore.
VIPL is a 2×300 MW domestic coal-fired power plant.
Shriniwas Spintex Industries: Shriniwas Spintex Industries acquired Butibori-based Morarjee Textiles Ltd., a part of the Ashok Piramal Group in April. Govind Rathi-led Shriniwas Spintex Industries, based in Hinganghat in adjoining Wardha district, took over the company through the court monitored bankruptcy process at a cost of Rs 156 crore.
MIDC plans to acquire 1,570 Ha in Additional Butibori Area: The recent influx of multinational companies in Butibori MIDC Industrial Area has dramatically transformed the area from a struggling industrial zone to a hotspot, facing an unexpected land shortage. Just a couple of years ago, attracting mega projects in the area was a big challenge. But in 2025, with a significant surge in demand for land, the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) authorities geared up to acquire new land to accommodate new companies.
MIDC is aggressively acquiring about 1,570 hectares of land near Additional Butibori Area. It consists of a total 1,392 hectares out of which 175 hectares has been allocated to some of the MSMEs and other commercial and residential projects.
