In Equanimity

In Equanimity
Every moment I pray,
For happiness, till my hair turn gray;
Can I find a ray
To leave grief out of the way?
Dandelions, daisies dancing in breeze,
Fading away gently, but not with ease;
Inevitable is the withering
of all life forms
Clinging onto rights and wrongs.
Enwrapping, encircling,
Holding and surrendering
To the Ultimate Being
To Neither Heaven nor Hell
To an equilibrium-balanced well.
Then here Serenity shall I pray?
Sans opposites
In equanimity, they say.
