Raipur West MLA Rajesh Munat inaugurated a newly constructed community hall in Media City, Ward No. 2 of Zone 8, on Sunday. The project, funded with Rs 20.35 lakh from the Raipur West MLA fund, was inaugurated in the presence of Mayor Meenal Choubey, RMC Speaker Suryakant Rathore, MIC member Deepak Jaiswal, Zone 8 Chairman Pritam Singh Thakur, Councilor Bhagatram Harvansh, representatives from the Media City Residents Association, senior journalists, and numerous residents.

 

During the inauguration ceremony, Rajesh Munat announced an additional Rs 25 lakh from his MLA fund for further construction, renovation, and the development of a garden at the community hall. He, along with Mayor Meenal Choubey and Chairperson Suryakant Rathore, appealed to the media representatives present to actively participate in efforts to make Raipur city clean and beautiful. Senior journalist Bholaram Singha, a resident of Media City and recipient of the Chandulal Chandrakar Hindi Print Media Journalism Award by the Chhattisgarh Government, was honored with a coconut and shawl by Rajesh Munat, Mayor Choubey, and Chairperson Rathore. Office bearers of the Media City Residents Association, led by President and senior journalist Prem Pathak, warmly welcomed the dignitaries with bouquets upon their arrival. Mayor Choubey emphasized the importance of the community hall for residents of Media City.
