Master Rajneesh Yadavba trainee Boxer at SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Boxing Academy has brought laurels to SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant and Chhattisgarh by clinching the Gold Medal in the 46–49 kg weight category at the Under-19 National Boxing Championship organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). The event was held in New Delhi from April 30 to May 5. Representing Bhilai campus, a contingent of seven young boxers participated in the championship. Among them, Master Rajneesh Yadav emerged victorious by defeating five opponents to claim the top spot on the podium. This remarkable achievement marks the first gold medal for Chhattisgarh in this category since the formation of the state, making it a historic milestone in the region’s sporting journey.
