THE ‘Joie De Vivre’ Summer Sports Camp at Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur was a joyful and enriching experience for the students of Grades I to VII.
The 12-day camp was aimed to foster creativity, teamwork, physical fitness and emotional growth in a fun and engaging environment.
Each day was thoughtfully designed to offer a blend of structured learning and joyful exploration across diverse disciplines.
Physical fitness and sports were a major highlight, with focused sessions in cricket, badminton, football, basketball, kho-kho, karate, skating, table tennis, swimming and chess.
The students developed foundational and advanced techniques through drills, circuit training, and practice matches, fostering discipline and sportsmanship. Life skills and emotional well-being were promoted through mindfulness activities, breathing techniques, and a special anti-bullying workshop for senior students.
Along with sports, the students immersed themselves in a variety of performing arts, including dance forms like hip-hop, bhangra fusion, freestyle, and group choreography. Music sessions covered vocal training, rhythm-based performances, and instrumental practice with tabla, keyboard, and percussion.
Art and craft activities encouraged hands-on creativity through resin art, thread work, pen holders, quilling, and digital design.
The AI and Coding segment allowed the students to explore platforms like Scratch Jr, Canva, Pixton, and Tynker, where they created animations, games, and comic strips.
These sessions sparked curiosity and honed logical thinking in a playful setting. The camp concluded with a grand showcasing event where students confidently presented their learnings.
