The Fashion Design Department of Aakar College of Management for Women stole the spotlight at the prestigious Sammitha Fevicryl fashion show, held recently at Kavivarya Suresh Bhatt Sabhagruha. With the theme “Panchatatva,” students showcased six unique Nauvari outfits like Brahmani, Peshwai, Devsena, Rajlaxmi, Avantika, Shahi Mastani and exquisite Shela garments featuring intricate Madhubani hand-painting under the guidance of Asst Prof. Mansi Sharma (HOD), Asst Prof. Mayuri Selukar, Asst Prof. Ankita Ingole and Asst Prof. Bhushan Kohale.
The Panchatatva theme likely inspired students to create garments that not only showcased their technical skills but also reflected a deeper understanding of nature and its elements.
Their designs demonstrated technical skills, artistic flair, and a blend of traditional art forms with modern sensibilities. The college takes pride in its students’ achievement, highlighting its commitment to nurturing creative talent. Dr. Pranjal Bogawar, Principal of Aakar College of Management for Women, and Dr Sachin Bogawar, Chairman of Aakar group of Institutions, appreciated the hard work and creativity of student and staff.
