VIDARBHA boys and girls while Maharashtra men and women teams reigned supreme in the first all India Tennis Ball T10 Cricket Tournament for Senior (Women and Men) and Junior (Boys and Girls, Under-19) that concluded at Railways ground in Ajni.
The tournament was organised by Vidarbha Tennis Ball Cricket Association and Nagpur District Tennis Ball Cricket Association under the aegis of Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of India.
In the boys group, Vidarbha defeated Diu and Daman for the title. Karnataka finished third. Vidarbha girls pipped Tamil Nadu for crown.
In senior men category, Maharashtra beat Chhattisgarh in the final. Tamil Nadu and Mumbai shared the third spot. State women did an encore by defeating Tamil Nadu in the summit clash.
Third spot was jointly shared by Vidarbha and Mumbai. Maharashtra State Minister Dr Pankaj Bhoyar gave away the prizes. Retd Judge Rahul Hazar, PI Niteshchandra Rajkumar, Kishor Bagde and Nitin Gawande were prominently present.
Dr Bhoyar accepted President Ajay Hiwarkar’s request to become Patron of Vidarbha Tennis Ball Cricket Association.
Saurabh Rangari conducted the proceedings while Hiwarkar proposed a vote of thanks. A dedicated team led by Secretary Rajkumar Kaithwas and including Shammi Karosiya, Aashish Dangore, Parth Hiwarkar, Viraj Kaithwas, Vaishnavi Kove, Rutuja Vaidya, Maheshwari Chaudhari, Babita Bamnote, Shreyas Rangari worked hard to make the event a big success.
