As a part of the ‘Rashtriya Suraksha Ke Liye Nagrik’ initiative, a grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ was organised in Jabalpur along the city’s main routes, on Wednesday. The event was graced by revered saints and the Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and District in-charge minister, Jagdish Devda.
The rally witnessed massive public participation, with women and youth enthusiastically waving the national flag and echoing slogans of patriotism like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”
The Yatra was flagged off at Vande Mataram Chowk, Civic Centre, by prominent saints including Pujya Dandi Swami Kalikanand Ji Maharaj, Jagatguru Sukhanand Dwaracharya Raghav Devacharya Ji, Swami Girishanand Ji, Swami Mukund Das Ji Maharaj, Swami Chaitanyanand Ji, Swami Radhe Chaitanya Ji, Gyaneshwari Didi, and Swami Kalinand Ji.
The procession passed through Karamchand Chowk, Andherdev, Bada Fuhara, Lordganj, Malviya Chowk, Teen Patti, Navbharat Chauraha, Bloom Chowk, Shastri Bridge, Chhoti Line, Gorakhpur Bazaar, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Ganesh Chowk, TI Crossing, Bharatmata Chowk, Delight Chowk, Indira Market, Kanchghar, Sheetlamai, Ghamapur Chowk, and concluded at Tehsil Chowk in front of the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar. Various communities and groups welcomed the yatra along the route, showcasing unity and patriotism.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CM Jagdish Devda emphasized the strength of India’s military response following the Pahalgam terror attack. He said, “Our brave soldiers gave a befitting reply to Pakistan-backed terrorism. Under the bold leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our armed forces destroyed terrorist bases, sending a global message that India will not tolerate terrorism in any form. The entire nation salutes the valour of our soldiers.”
He further added that divisional and district headquarters across the state are holding Tiranga Yatras in tribute to the armed forces.
BJP City President Ratnesh Sonkar emphasised that while soldiers safeguard our borders, citizens also play a vital role in national security.
This yatra was organized to honor the indomitable courage of Indian soldiers, with massive participation from all four assembly segments of the city. At the conclusion of the Yatra, Coordinator Sandeep Jain expressed gratitude to all participants. During the Yatra, Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Valmiki, MP Ashish Dubey, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh ‘Annu’, MLAs Ashok Rohani, Abhilash Pandey, Neeraj Singh, Rinku Vij, Dr. Jitendra Jamdar, Prabhat Sahu, Lekhraj Singh Munna and a large numbers of members were present.
