A GRAND :
bicycle rally that was organised by the Vikas Thakre Fan Club on the occasion of World Bicycle Day, was attended by city’s top adventure cyclists.
Over 250 participants including children and adults participated in the rally and among them were Vijay Ghichare, who has covered 4500 km from Nagpur to Leh-Ladakh; 3800 km from Nagpur to Nepal and 6500 km from Nagpur to Bhutan. Nilesh Dahake also cycled from Nagpur to Leh, Ladakh, Kashmir, Kargil and back to Nagpur, Ishwar Deshmukh, a Senior Professor of Physical Education Department, Indian School, Oman, and famous cyclist Bharat Mallik Sudha.
At the outset, Vikas Thakre, MLA West Nagpur, and Girish Pandav flagged-off the rally.
T-shirts and attractive cash prizes were sponsored by Balaji Garments. Centre Point Hotel, Lotus Vencon Company and BTP Travels also chipped in with their contributions.
Manoj Gawande, Manish Chandekar, Vivek Bhapkar, Chhanna Waghmare, Nilesh Bhoyar, Rajesh Londhe were prominently present.
At the finish point of rally, Sharyu Taywade, Dr Shaunak Taywade, Sanjay Dhote, distributed refreshments.
Prashant Kapse, Anand Shahu, Dinesh Gaur, Shobha Kene, Sarla Raut, Lokesh Chole, Pramod Shindeya and others worked hard to make the rally a big success.
