The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has been awarded for its outstanding work in the conservation and rejuvenation of water sources under the nationally organised ‘Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan’. The recognition was conferred by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav during a main award ceremony held in Khandwa, on Monday.
Senior cabinet ministers including Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel, Vijay Shah and Tulsi Silawat along with several public representatives and officials were also present on the occasion.
 
The award ceremony was broadcast live across all Municipal Corporations in the state. In Jabalpur, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh and Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav participated in the telecast. Both extended their congratulations and best wishes to the officers and staff who contributed to the campaign’s success.
During the Khandwa ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Sambhav Ayachi received the award on behalf of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation.
 
It may be noted that under the leadership of Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh and Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav, the JMC has earned over a dozen awards at both state and national levels. The Mayor and Municipal Commissioner expressed gratitude to the citizens of Sanskardhani for their continuous support in achieving these milestones.
Additional Commissioner Prashant Gontia, Deputy Commissioner Ankita Jain, Assistant Commissioners Shivangi Mahajanm, Rachayita Awasthi, Assistant Engineer Sandeep Jaiswal, Sanitation Cell Nodal Officer Abhinav Mishra and others were also present on the occasion.
