After the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family, and the police have registered a case of suspicious death and initiated an investigation.
Ravi Dangi, the deceased’s nephew, stated that they were informed about his uncle’s death by an unknown woman who was also present at the scene.
The woman told police and family members that Mahendra Singh had given her a lift, and his uncle died after their bike fell into a pothole. Ravi Dangi expressed scepticism about this account, questioning, “If the woman was on the vehicle at the time of the accident and confirmed it, then why did she not sustain any injuries? This matter needs to be investigated thoroughly.” The family alleges that the woman’s role is suspicious and that the police should pay special attention to this aspect. Regarding the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Neeraj Chourasia stated that eyewitnesses present at the scene confirmed Mahendra’s accident. He added that injury marks suggest a heavy vehicle hit him, leading to his demise.
