Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM) girls and Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana as well as Nutan Bharat Yuvak Sangh (NBYS) boys stormed into the semi-final of the ongoing 25th Prakash Rajurkar Memorial Junior District Basketball Championship currently in progress at DKM court in Shankar Nagar, on Friday. In the quarter-finals, DKM rode on Netra Damke’s superb performance to beat United Basketball Academy (UBA) 34-18 in a one-sided battle. Netra managed to score 10 points while Hemlata Dandekar added five as DKM raced into the semis without much fuss. For UBA, Ridima Banode (5) reduced the margin of defeat. In the boys section,

 

SNG’s Shashank Ghadge scored a match high of 34 points as they ousted Phoenix 64-54 in a thriller. In another quarter-final of the evening, NBYS got the better of NASA to move into last four.
