A man killed his younger brother by stabbing him in the neck after heated argument over repeated abuse of his wife. The incident took place late Friday night in Khapri Punarwasan area under the jurisdiction of Beltarodi Police Station. The accused has been identified as Harish Sheshrao Jumde (40).

 

The victim was Vaibhav Sheshrao Jumde (37), who was unmarried. According to police, both brothers were unemployed. They had jointly received a 3,000 sq ft plot in Khapri Punarwasan on which they had constructed a house on 1,500 sq ft. Vaibhav was addicted to alcohol and often created trouble after drinking. He regularly abused and even beat Harish’s wife. On Friday night, Vaibhav came home drunk and misbehaved with his sister-in-law. He abused and beat her, then went to his room. Later, when Harish returned home, his wife informed him about the incident.
