 ‘Nand Ke Anand Bhayo’ Utsav on August 24   Govind Kishori Sankirtan Trust Nagpur, is organising Nand Utsav on August 24 at Aamdar Niwas, Civil Lines, from 5 pm onwards. The event will feature discourse by Shri Govind Kishoriji from Vrindavan, narrating Lord Krishna Janma Katha. The celebration will include cultural performances, bhajans, Raas songs, and enactments of Krishna’s childhood. The organiser invites all devotees to participate in Nand Utsav.
 
Hindu Mitra Mandal’s ‘Atha Pookkalam’ event on Aug 26
 One of the highlights of Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala, is the ‘Atha Pookkalam’, a circular floral rangoli. The tradition, rooted in mythology, has evolved into an artful expression of devotion and culture. Hindu Mitra Mandal Nagpur, has appealed to all Malayali Hindu families in the city to create Pookkalam on August 26 along with their children, and share photographs with the Executive Committee, informed Uday Bhaskar Nair, President, and K Radhakrishnan, Secretary, through a press release.
 
The Onam celebration and Malayali Hindu Sanghamam will be held on August 31 at Maharshi Vyas Sabhagruh, Smruti Mandir, Reshimbagh. Valsan Thillankeri, Working President of Hindu Aikya Vedi, will grace the occasion. Spiritual discourse discusses duties of devotee’s during Paryushan Parv As part of the Chaturmas discourses at Shri Sumatinath Swami Jain Shwetambar Murtipujak Sangh, Ramdaspeth, on the auspicious occasion of Paryushan Parv, Sadhvi Rajratna Shriji delivered a discourse and highlighted that while during Paryushan a devotee (sravaka) should at least abstain from sinful actions, throughout the year one must fulfill the eleven prescribed annual duties. “In Paryushan, penance holds the highest significance.
 
Human birth is rare, and with this opportunity, one must dedicate life to penance, for it is both a privilege and a responsibility. Service fulfills others’ needs, while worship fulfills our own,” she stated. The Paryushan Parv will conclude on August 29. Conclusion of Jhulelal Chaliha Mahotsav on Aug 24 with shobhayatra Sindhu Jhulelal Welfare Society is organising 40-day Jhulelal Chaliha Mahotsav in the presence of Mahant Thakur Mohandasji. During the festivities, singers including Manjushri Asudani and Dhirashthi Jeswani, along with Jeetu Bhagat from Chhindwara and the JB Mandali from Rajnandgaon, presented bhajans.
 
The concluding ceremony is organised on August 24. Under the guidance of Darshanlal Kukreja, a special Bahirana Sahib Puja will be performed at Samadha Ashram. From there, a grand Shobhayatra will be taken out, culminating at Jhulelal Mandir, Gandhisagar. Tanha Pola celebration at Shri Tekdi Road Hanuman Mandir on August 23 As part of its annual tradition, Shri Tekdi Road Hanuman Mandir Samiti, Sitabuldi is organising a Tanha Pola festival for children on August 23, from 5 pm onwards.
 
To make the celebration enjoyable, the Samiti has arranged free food stalls offering children’s favourites snacks and sweets. For entertainment, mini swings and fun rides will also be set up. Also, a special arrangement has been made for children to paint and decorate small bullock figures, free of cost. The organisers have appealed to parents and families to bring children and participate in large numbers.
