High Court of Chhattisgarh has constituted five supplementary benches to hear the cases at the High Court, effective from August 26. The Division Bench-II, comprising of Justice Sanjay K Agrawal and Justice Kumar Jaiswal, will hear all civil matters of Division Bench, which have not been assigned to any Division Bench, company appeal, tax cases including writ appeals of tax cases, all writ matters of division bench (against the order of tribunal constituted under Article 323A and 323-B of the Constitution of India) and (Matter relates to Ultra Virus upto the year 2022).
 
The Special Bench, comprising of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha, will take up application under sub-section (4) or sub-section (5) or sub-section (6) of Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, petitions under Section 482 Cr.PC, petition under section 528 BNSS and Cr.M.P upto the year 2018 (exception quashing of FIR), criminal revision from the year 2013 to 2105 (except criminal revision against acquittal)), all bail applications under Section 438 Cr.P.C./all bail applications under 482 B.N.S.S, all bail application under Section 439 Cr.P.c/ all bail application under Section 483 B.N.S.S (except matter assigned to S.B-III), transfer petition (criminal), criminal appeal from the year 2022 to 2023 (motion hearing matters) and specially assigned cases.
 
The Chief Justice will hear these cases from 2.15 pm or after completion of Division Bench-I list, whichever is earlier. The Single Bench-III, comprising of Justice Parth Prateem Sahu, will hear all bail applications under section 439 Cr.P.C/ all bail applications under Section 483 B.N.S.S (matters relates to offences in which maximum sentence is death) and POCSO Act (except offences u/s 307 IPC/ u/s of 109 of B.N.S.S), appeals under Section 14A of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, arising out of order of the Special Court under Section 438 Cr.P.C/482 of B.N.S.S and 439 Cr.P.C/483 of B.N.S.S, criminal revision from the year 2017 onwards (except criminal revision against acquittal), petitions under Section 482 Cr.P.C/petitions under Section 528 B.N.S.S and Cr.M.P from the year 2019 onwards (except quashing of FIR), criminal appeals of the year 2021 and from the year 2024 onwards and tied up matters.
 
The Single Bench-VIII, comprising of Justice Sachin Singh Rajput, will take up miscellaneous appeals (Motor Vehicle Act) from the year 2019 to 2021 and from the year 2024 onwards and tied up matters. The Single Bench- XI, comprising of Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, will hear acquittal appeals and leave to appeals from the year 2024 onwards, all nature of writ petitions upto the year 2006, writ petition upto the year 2016 and tied up matters. Justice Sanajay Kumar Jaiswal will take up these cases from 2.15 pm or after completion of Division Bench-II list, whichever is earlier.
