Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, 77th Custodian of House of Mewar and Chairman of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, on Saturday said that AI can augment processes, but it cannot replace the emotional depth, compassion, and human connection that
define meaningful work and relationships.
Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar was speaking at the inaugural session of the seventh edition of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur’s flagship HR conclave, Utkarsh 7.0 held here in MIHAN. The theme session was “HR Beyond Boundaries in the Age of AI & Automation - Innovating Work, Workforce & Workplace.”
The event was inaugurated by Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, along with Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, and distinguished dignitaries Ashok Tewari, Joint President of the Birla Group, and Mussarat Hussain, HR Head at Suzuki R&D.
The event brought together 21 eminent HR leaders, academicians, and industry experts to deliberate on how artificial intelligence and automation are reshaping the future of human resources. Dr Lakshyaraj Singh further emphasized the importance of humanity and humility as the foundation of leadership, irrespective of technological advancements. His message underscored that in the pursuit of automation, human values must remain at the core of progress. Welcoming the guests, Prof. Bhimaraya Metri shared the institute’s remarkable journey since its inception in 2015. He highlighted the rapid growth of IIM Nagpur, which now stands among the fastest-growing IIMs with a strong industry interface and global collaborations.
