In a heart-wrenching and shocking incident in Itwan Dudaila village, a woman consumed a poisonous substance and also fed the same substance to her three children after her husband refused to let her eat gutkha. The mother and her two daughters died during treatment while the condition of her son is critical. This heart-wrenching incident took place on Saturday late evening in Itwan Dudaila village of Chitrakoot UP, connected to the main road between Satna- Majhgawan- Chitrakoot. As per information, Jyoti Yadav fed poison to her three children and then consumed poison herself allegedly because her husband did not allow her to eat gutkha.

 

Enraged over his denial, the woman took the extreme step. All four were first brought to the nearest health centre at Majhgawan, Satna district in critical condition. Here one of the daughters died. Due to the critical condition of the mother and the remaining two children, they were immediately referred to Satna District Hospital after primary treatment. On the way, the mother and the second daughter also died. Her son has been admitted to Satna District Hospital in critical condition. The deceased have been identified as Jyoti Yadav (32), daughter Bulbul (1) and Chandrama (6). The condition of son Deepchandra (3) is critical. The husband Babbu Yadav informed police that his wife was addicted to gutkha. He often scolded her for this bad habit.

 

On the day of the incident, he told her that now that the children are growing up, it will have a bad effect on them. So he asked her to leave gutkha. He also threatened her to not provide any money to buy gutkha. After the scolding, the husband went to work. However, he never thought that the wife would take his scolding on her heart and take such an extreme step. When he returned home in the evening, he found his wife and three children in an unconscious state. He along with other family members immediately took them to the nearest health center Majhgawan and then to Satna District Hospital. SP Chitrakoot Arun Kumar Singh immediately reached the spot along with police team.
